Elke Duffy retired as broker/owner of Amador Realty after a real estate career which spanned nearly 30 years. Elke started working as a salesperson in the San Francisco Bay Area, and after moving to Amador County, she obtained her broker's license. In her capacity as broker, Elke supervised up to 12 agents and established a reputation for outstanding client service and follow-through. Her fluency in French, German and Spanish was a tremendous asset in her ability to make many of her clients who came from non-English speaking countries very comfortable with the real estate buying and selling process.
Concurrent with her real estate activities, Elke has also used her liguistic skills in teaching, translating and tutoring. She has rendered technical translations for patent attorneys, export businesses and she continues to teach and tutor students in French, German and Spanish.
Elke was educated in Germany and the United States and has a degree in linguistics.
She has served on the Budget & Finance Committee at ACAR (Amador County Association of Realtors), as a director for ACAR and was a past vice president of that organization.
For several years Elke was associated with the Amador County Chamber of Commerce as a director and in 2010 was elected President of the organization.
Elke has excellent organizational skills and the ability to sift through contractual agreements with an eye to detail and contents.
